Specialist in the Middle East and described as “solar”, journalist Marine Vlahovic was found dead on Monday, on the roof terrace of her apartment, in the 1st arrondissement of Marseille, reports Provence.
The journalist had spent three years covering news in Ramallah from 2016 to 2019. For four years, she had left Palestine to settle in Marseille. She took the time to write, made a few documentaries in Cairo or Lebanon, recorded award-winning podcasts or prepared humanitarian packages for Gaza.
“No element indicates the criminal trail”
Monday morning, her friends, worried about not having heard from her, went to her apartment and discovered the journalist's body. The young woman's death could have occurred several days before her discovery. An investigation was opened and an autopsy requested. But for now, a police source confided to our colleagues, “no element indicates the criminal trail”.
