Things didn't drag on between the leaders of the Sporting Club de Bastia and those of RC Saint-Joseph de la Martinique : both parties have agreed to play this 32nd final Friday, December 20 at 8:45 p.m.
Coupe de France matches are usually scheduled throughout the weekends but the federation offers the possibility to clubs who wish to anticipate to Friday. Also knowing that this is the last meeting before the end of year break, it is always 24 or 48 hours more for the players and staff.
For the moment, obviously, we still do not know if the stands of the Armand-Cesari stadium in Furiani will be open to the public. To do this, you must wait until Wednesday December 11 and the meeting of the disciplinary committee which will take its sanction after the incidents in Bastia-Lorient on November 23.
A closed session as a precautionary measure has already been declared for the match against Nancy last Saturday.
The club expects another closure but the question is: will it be total or partial for the South Stand where the troubles came from?
The cup match against Saint-Joseph would in any case be the second after the committee on December 11 since in the meantime, in the championship, Sporting will host Guingamp (13/12). Nobody dares to imagine that the club will be sanctioned until December 20.
Furthermore, the date of December 20 leaves a possibility for the US Corte to welcome, still for the Coupe de France, OGC Nice to Furiani, as hoped, on Sunday December 22.
