MotoGP Indonesia J1, Maverick Vinales (Aprilia/10): “I made requests this winter but nothing happened”

In Indonesia, Maverick Vinales saves face for Aprilia this Friday. The Noale firm experienced a sort of black day, with meager results on the one hand, but also the loss of an important element in the person of Miguel Oliveira, broken wrist. Vinales will be the only Aprilia representative in Q2 unless his colleagues come out of a Q1 which promises to be quite tough. The Spaniard, leaving for KTM Tech3 next year, notes with bitterness the regression of his employer.

It was a rather annoyed Maverick Vinales who showed up at the end of his first day in Mandalika. Clearly, there was a way to do better. “There is reason to be satisfied and quite optimistic, yes. But hey, I was still hampered in my last fast lap. They couldn’t do anything about it, they were also chasing the time but I was just faster. We need to understand what step to take for tomorrow”
he declared to GPOne microphones.

Now we no longer have areas where we stand out. We are precise in no aspect.
All benefits earned in 2023 are gone. »
he stated harshly.

I will not give additional information to improve the machine. During the winter, I made requests that were not listened to. Everyone on the team is always asking themselves how we could improve. We should just try to be more precise. »
he concluded. Atmosphere…
