During the last municipal council meeting on Thursday, elected officials debated the following subjects.

Retrocession of the City park. Agglopolys will retrocede, from 1is January 2025, the multi-sport areas that it has made available to municipalities for several years. The latter are now in charge of the maintenance of these structures, which are very popular with young people. A sum of approximately €1,500 will be donated to the agglomeration during 2025 corresponding to the unamortized portion of the loan interest contracted by Agglopolys to finance this equipment.

Graveyard. Despite the lifting of certain graves, it is certain that in the medium term, work on extending the cemetery must be considered within two years.

Road maintenance. The potholes that are still too numerous in certain streets will be dealt with very soon by municipal services. On the other hand, the severely degraded rue de la Borde will be the subject of a more in-depth study.

Mayotte. Faced with the disaster that struck Mayotte last week, elected officials decide on an exceptional grant of €200 to help this French department

Alumni meal. The alumni meal took place in a warm atmosphere. In everyone's opinion, the meal served was better than last year's and the films shown were very well received.

Floods. At the end of the council, the mayor answered questions from two of his residents who were particularly worried about the consequences of the precipitation which fell this year on the town. In fact, these residents residing in the hamlet of Mées saw their homes flooded twice last October. For one of them, this is even the ninth time since 2002. In reality, around ten owners are impacted. These houses are parallel to the departmental road and according to them, they block the water flowing from the old national road. After traveling to the site to observe the damage, Patrick Menon and his deputy in charge of roads, Christophe Rochereau, quickly contacted various stakeholders. The departmental council, in charge of RD2152, does not consider itself responsible for the situation at this time. Agglopolys, in charge of urban rainwater management, is studying the issue but the issue is not one of its priorities. Christophe Rochereau wants to make this his hobby horse for 2025 and wishes to call on a hydraulic engineer before embarking on work which could prove costly. For the moment, the municipality will ask the city to clean the ditches but this only seems to be a temporary solution. So to be continued.

The next council is scheduled for January 23, 2025 at 7 p.m.
