Abbé Pierre accused of sexual violence
A figure in the fight for the most deprived, theAbbot Pierre is today at the heart of a serious affair. The co-founder of the movement Emmauswho died in 2007 at the age of 94, is accused of violence and sexual assault by more than 20 women. The acts are believed to have been committed between the end of the 1970s and 2005. This is the first report made public and commissioned by Emmaus France, Emmaüs International and the Abbé Pierre Foundation who revealed the affair. Then the three organizations commissioned a new independent investigation from the Egaé firm, in order to shed light on these sad revelations.
