A few weeks before the “Olympico”, a prefectural decree prohibited the travel of OL supporters to . There will therefore be no supporters present at the Vélodrome on February 2.

No Lyon supporters for the “Olympico” on February 2. In a few weeks, theOL will move to Marseille as part of the 20th day of Ligue 1. A meeting which will be complicated since the Lyonnais will face the Marseillais, currently second in Ligue 1. In a particular sporting context, Pierre Sage's players will also have to do without popular support. Indeed, for this “Olympico”, the Bouches-du-Rhône Prefecture has decided to ban supporters of theOL to travel to the Vélodrome. Sunday February 2, there will be no support for Alexandre Lacazette and his teammates.

This prefectural decision is explained by an animosity which continues to grow over the years and whose violence reaches a limit each time. In the decree, the list of excesses is quite long with a point of no return last season. The trip to Marseille resulted in the bus of the Lyon players and their supporters being stoned. After several months of investigation, the case was finally closed without further action by the Marseille prosecutor's office. Enough to trigger the incomprehension of the Lyon club which has regretted the decision in recent days. In this same match stopped in October 2023, the Rhone supporters for their part shone through their stupidity with racist salutes and shouts in the Vélodrome parking lot.
