For the first time, the stand of the Metropolis of Lyon on the Grave,from January 23 to 27, 2025 at Eurexpo Lyon,will allow local businesses to make themselves known.
During the five days of the showa fifteen companies will come exhibit their products to convince new customers and find new outlets.
The supply cooperative for catering professionals Cinema A Pro (Brignais), the manufacturer of organic and nitrite-free cold meats Heritage (Rillieux-la-Pape), the producer of natural plant-based drinks Milkd (Villeurbanne), the manufacturer of organic semolina made from cereals or legumes Santalim (Ecully), several players in the world of beer such as the Dulion brewery and Victorine…are among the companies that will take turns on the stand.
The Métropole de Lyon invests 9.3 million euros for agriculture and food
“Welcoming companies to our stand is a logical continuation of the work carried out to relocate, structure and develop the agricultural and food sector. During the mandate, our investments in favor of agriculture and food will have been multiplied by four to reach 9.3 million euros”says Jérémy Camus, vice-president of the Métropole de Lyon delegated to the Agricultural and food policy.
More than a hundred projects have been carried out to support farmers and processors. “We were able to support an organic cereal grower who, after launching a chicken farm, wanted to build a mill to make his flour and then buy a machine to make pasta”explains Jérémy Camus.
-The Piamot Farm of Sébastien Leclerc, located at Genayreceived nearly 200,000 euros from the Metropolis to finance the diversification of its activities.
Affordable real estate, investment aid and seed funds
Support for the sector is also based on initiatives led by the Economy and Public Purchasing Policy delegation. The specifications for catering services for the Métropole de Lyon have been revised, allowing in particular the caterer Les Dames, who works on locally sourced organic productsto intervene in community events.
“We can also offer square meters at an affordable price in our transitional planning operations. We are also present with direct investment aid to finance the acquisition of less energy-consuming machines, for example, or with our metropolitan industrial seed fund to support the growth of businesses.”illustrates Emeline Baume, vice-president of the Métropole de Lyon responsible for the Economy.
In the food sector,Chiche and Maltivor, who are participating in Sirha on the metropolitan stand, were thus able to raise funds.
