It was a bit of a baptism of fire in a frosty decor Friday January 17, 2025 for the Minister of Sports Marie Barsacq who went to Prémanon for one of her first ministerial visits on the ground, since her appointment on December 23 in the government of François Bayrou.
Au Tuffes stadiumMarie Barsacq said she was “very happy” to attend the first day of the cross-country skiing World Cup, only round in France of the competition, which brings together the world ski elite Nordic from January 17 to 19 in Les Rousses.
The Minister received a warm welcome on site. “Welcome to this mecca of sport. Many athletes frequent this place, winter and summer. Feel at home here, in the heart of the Jura massif,” explained Anne-Laure Brunet, director of the national ski school.

-Government Sports Minister Bayrou visited the CNSNMM facilities, notably the “High Performance” training center recently inaugurated at the Tuffes stadium. “ An impressive plateau“, recognized the biathlete Martin Fourcadecandidate for president of the organizing committee (Cojop) of the Winter Olympic Games who was also on the visit. The biathlete, six times Olympic champion notably underlined that the French team is also trained by his big brother.
“It is a vital site for the preparation of our athletes so that they can perform at the 2030 Alps Olympic Games. This site will therefore benefit from support in view of the Olympic Games, and on this occasion shine even more because other nations will be interested in it, and I see great opportunities to welcome foreign delegations to the Jura. »
Beyond the Olympic deadlines and competitions such as the cross-country skiing world cup, the equipment of the CNSNMM of Prémanon“are the realization of an intuition born around twenty years ago” underlined Nicolas Michaud, and they will benefit “all generations of skiers and future generations”.
A message that particularly resonated on this Tuffes stadium who, on this first day of competition, fteeming with more than 850 schoolchildren came from all over the Jura department.
