the essential
Nearly 70% of people in precarious situations, to varying degrees, do not claim social rights to which they can nevertheless claim completely legally, via Caf or France Travail. The Lot is no exception to this observation. The two organizations signed a partnership agreement to, among other areas of intervention, act by better and more informing beneficiaries of forgotten rights. Workshops are planned for this purpose.
The partnership agreement signed this Monday, between France Travail and the Caf du Lot, in Cahors, aims to make it possible to apply very concrete actions “in favor of the most vulnerable populations in the territory. We wish to provide them with information on rights including many do not benefit because they do not know that they exist” underlines Gérald Capel, director of France Travail Lot.
Cécile Caré, director of the Caf du Lot, was at his side, to highlight all the objectives of the departmental convention.
Six areas of work between coherence and coordination
The major wishes of the convention, between coherence and coordination of actions, reaffirmed by the two signatories are structured around 6 axes.
- Strengthen collaboration between the two organizations.
- Fight against non-recourse and facilitate access to user rights.
- Facilitate the return to work by removing obstacles linked to reception.
- Promote careers in early childhood and entertainment.
- Promote Caf professions in order to satisfy its recruitment needs.
- Develop joint communications actions.
Very clearly, the non-recourse to rights, due to ignorance of them, remains a key concern for which France Travail and the Caf are working to communicate better with their users.
-Better communication and a real sense of solidarity
To remedy forgotten rights, the agreement provides for “the organization of workshops for the public of France Travail in order to promote the service offers and benefits of the Caf such as dematerialized RSA requests, access to the rights of young people and people with disabilities…”.
In short, the very broad convention aims for better communication and a real sense of solidarity aimed at those who, by depriving themselves of certain rights, also deprive themselves of real chances of improving their living conditions and seeking more serenely a job.
