Freezing rain this Wednesday at the end of the day in Haute-Loire

This Wednesday, since mid-afternoon, freezing rain has been falling in Haute-Loire, particularly in the east of the department.

While the road services, both of the State and of the Department and municipalities, carry out passages to salt the roads, the grip of vehicles is compromised.

In Yssingeaux, even pedestrians were seen in difficulty on the sidewalks. These freezing drizzles are reported in several areas of Yssingeaux, Monistrol, Sainte-Sigolène and their surrounding areas.

This brutal icy weather has apparently already caused several people to leave the road. The accidents were reported around 4:30 p.m. on the RN88 between Yssingeaux and Saint-Maurice de Lignon.
