Lucy Dacus has announced a new album called “Forever Is A Feeling” and released two singles called “Ankles” and “Limerence”. Check them out below, along with US tour details.
The project will mark the artist’s fourth studio album, and his first since boygenius shared his critically acclaimed album, “The Record,” last year.
Following Dacus’ last album, “Home Video”, the next album sees the musician move away from the world of adolescence and adopt a decidedly adult dimension, enriched by themes of sexuality and romance.
Due out March 28 via Polydor, the cover is a Dacus painting by renowned visual artist Will St. John, and tracklist contributions come from Hozier, Blake Mills, Bartees Strange, Madison Cunningham, Collin Pastore, Jake Finch, and Melina . Duterte. Boygenius bandmates Phoebe Bridgers and Julien Baker also make an appearance.

The first of the new singles shared is “Ankles,” a playful track that best showcases the album’s empowering motif.
Although it began as a ballad, the final product has more of a thick texture of drums, guitars, a danceable and exuberant bass line and electronics. It also captures the same sense of flirtatious, playful, and sometimes frustrating mutual attraction.
« So bite me on the shoulder, pull my hair“, chanted Dacus. ” Pull me by the ankles to the edge of the bed and take me like you do in your dreams.” Check it out below, alongside a Music video featuring Havana Rose Liu.
The second track to share is the softer and more angelic single “Limerence”. It also captures the same powerful sense of emotion that Dacus focuses on throughout the album.
“I got kicked in the head with emotions. Falling in love, falling in love,” Dacus explained, sharing the realization she had while working on the LP. “You have to destroy things to create things. And I destroyed a very beautiful life.
“You can’t actually capture forever,” she continued. “But I think we feel an eternity in a few moments. I don’t know how long I’ve been there forever, but I know I’ve visited.
As well as announcing a new album, Dacus also shared details of new US tour dates, which will see her hit the road with support from MUNA’s Katie Gavin and jasmine.4.t.

Last month, Dacus released a casting call for the music video for his new single “Best Guess.”
As for Boygenius, “The Record” earned the group three Grammys, was crowned ZikNation’s best album in 2023 and allowed the trio to win the international group of the year award at the 2024 BRIT Awards.
The trio announced their hiatus at a secret concert in Los Angeles early last year. “We are leaving for the foreseeable future,” fans said. “This is our last show, and we feel it. »
Dacus then reflected on Boygenius’ massive success over the past 12 months, writing: “It’s not lost on me what a rare experience I’m about to have. »
