In response to the recent increase in the transmission of respiratory infections such as influenza and COVID-19, the Integrated Health and Social Services Center (CISSS) of the Laurentides announces that wearing a mask is once again mandatory in some of its facilities.

Users presenting respiratory symptoms and/or linked to COVID-19 must wear a mask in all CISSSLAU facilities. Otherwise, it is not obligatory, but remains suggested for immunosuppressed or transplant users. Note that the mask is not required in living environments such as CHSLDs.
For healthcare workers, wearing a mask is mandatory in the presence of a user in hospital or in a home support context.
Wearing a mask is also obligatory for visitors to users hospitalized in a hospital center or under observation in the emergency room, but not in other sectors or in living environments.
“The implementation of this measure is necessary to ensure the well-being and health of users and staff. I would like to thank the population in advance for their collaboration to help limit the transmission of infections within our facilities. The need for wearing a mask will be reassessed regularly and we will inform the population as soon as it is no longer required,” declared the president and CEO of the CISSS des Laurentides, Julie Delaney.
