The municipality of Val d’Illiez obtained the “Valais Excellence” label in September. Lasting three years, this certification commits the Municipality to environmental issues and towards its population.
Awarded by the organization of the same name, this label demonstrates the Municipality’s obligation to the environment. “ We will be able to optimize our costs inherent to the environment, and have been able to identify certain energy problems”, list Hülya Neza, municipal secretary of the municipality of Val d’Illiez, responsible for this labeling. The second part of this recognition includes the quality of services to the population and internal administrative management. “We clearly see a before/after. In organizing files, searching for documents and our internal communication, we are much more efficient,” poursuit Hülya Neza.
Lasting three years, this label will be guaranteed by annual surveillance audits. For the president of the municipality of Val d’Illiez, although it provides improvements, this certification is not necessarily a tourist asset and will not increase the attractiveness for future residents. The municipality of Val d’Illiez took the opportunity to announce two other changes: the redesign of its logo and the move of its entire administration planned for next week.
