Skydiver lands in Dutch zoo enclosure: ‘It could have gone wrong’

It was a funny scene which could have had serious consequences which took place this Saturday in the Netherlands. A skydiver has indeed landed in the monkey enclosure at Ouwehands Zoo in Rhenen, in the province of Utrecht in the Netherlands.

“Luckily the bonobos were inside, because it’s too cold for them now“, confided Robin de Lange, the director of the Dutch animal park, to AD. He judges in fact that the parachutist escaped the worst, because the man “could have landed in the African elephant enclosure […] Or among lions and tigers“, added Robin de Lange.
