Larzac, land of rave parties?
#AVEYRON Should we expect more rave parties on the Larzac plateau in 2025? This is a question that was asked, after the arrival of several thousand people, between Hérault and Aveyron, to celebrate the new year. Although made public at the last moment, the Aveyron prefecture published a decree to prohibit this event the same day. “This allows us to carry out a whole bunch of checks” explains Véronique Martin-Saint-Léon, sub-prefect of the Millau district.
A security system had been deployed by the Aveyron gendarmes and although agitated in front of the musical installation, the party had not overflowed. Organizers risk up to six years in prison and a fine of up to €10,000 for organizing such parties. If everything went well during the last two festivals organized on the fly on the Larzac, certain events can be more problematic than others, particularly when they take place on the land of private owners.

#HERAULT The CGT Cheminots Béziers has renewed for this Wednesday, January 8, the strike that began on Sunday, January 5. The strikers denounce “the lack of staff, drivers and controllers on the TER and intercity service on the Béziers-Neussargues line”.
“Users of the line must know that train cancellations are a consequence of lack of staff. Not to mention that users are often confronted with the absence of a controller in the trains, which leads to a lack of information on their journey and their connections” says a union official.

#GARD This is, in kg, the weight of truffles stolen from a farm in Saint-Victor-des-Oules in December 2024. The owner estimates that the accused came on five occasions, at least, with a harvest of around 1.5 kg per night.
