The body of Youssef al-Zaydana was found in the Gaza Strip, ending the hopes of their family who had been waiting for his return since October 7. He was kidnapped while working at Kibbutz Holit, along with Hamza and Youssef's children, Aisha and Bilal.

“We have been informed that Youssef's body has been found. Our hearts are broken. We hoped to see them returned to the family alive – but unfortunately, they returned to us dead,” said Ali al-Zaydana, Youssef's brother , in a poignant testimony. “Aisha and her brother Bilal were waiting to hug them. This is a difficult and heartbreaking disaster.”

In a statement, the families of Forum Tikva hostages expressed their condolences to the relatives of Yossef al-Zaydana.

“We share the pain of the al-Zaydana family who are preparing to bury their loved ones, kidnapped during Simchat Torah and whose bodies were recovered by the IDF in Gaza,” said the Forum's statement.

The families also wanted to express their gratitude to the Israeli soldiers: “We thank the heroic IDF soldiers who work day and night to bring back our loved ones, many of whom paid with their lives to achieve this goal.”
