In addition to surprises like the Artus film, A little thing in addition which ends up at the top of the Beauvais box office or The Count of Monte Cristo, the releases at the end of the year allowed the CGR Beauvais cinemas to come close to the 400,000 entries.
When we met the new management of the CGR cinemas in Beauvais last October, the Beauvais complex was slightly behind in terms of entry compared to 2023. But the new regional director, Sylvain Garcia, as well as his deputy director, Clément Buisson , were banking on end-of-year outings to return to balance.
Ultimately, their forecasts turned out to be almost accurate since the CGR Beauvais cinemas ended the year 2024 with 385,980 admissions over the year, a slight drop of 2% compared to 2023. But over the fiscal year, the complex is in progress. “The Golden Globes and Oscars effect is putting some pep back into the numbers and we are just entering awards season,” specifies the deputy director.
And as they also anticipated, the releases of the two animated films, Vice Versa 2 and Vaiana 2 shook up the October podium by taking 2nd and 3rd places respectively for best entries, ahead of Artus' revelation film, A little something extra, 2024 box office leader. “It was a great year with a lot of unexpected things but overall some very nice surprises”finally summarizes Clément Buisson for whom the year 2025 should also start on a very good basis with the releases of Tuches and Bodyn's.

The team will also be present in Beauvais on February 14 (6 p.m.), for the preview of “Bodin's partent en vrille”, the release of which is scheduled for March 19, 2025.
