Although the 2025 Solterra is expected to launch in markets outside of Canada, such as the United States, Subaru stressed that the model has not been discontinued. It will continue to be part of Subaru’s global lineup of vehicles.
The automaker did not comment on plans for the Solterra beyond the 2025 model year, but reiterated that the vehicle remains in production.
No specific reason was given for the decision not to market the 2025 model in Canada. Subaru continues to support its current electric offerings in Canada until the release of the 2024 Solterra. The Toyo-Baru joint effort has just recorded two consecutive months of record sales. Time will tell whether this dynamic will continue in the weeks and months following this announcement.
