This Monday, January 6, France Bleu Picardie and France Bleu Nord change their name and become ICI, a new global local media, radio, TV and digital.

Created more than forty years ago, local radio stations grouped together within the France Bleu network in the 2000s. 25 years later, they are making a new start with this change of name. To understand everything, we asked Henrique three questions Vieira Campos, director of ICI Picardie.

Since the start of the school year in September, we have changed a lot of things on the air to strengthen proximity : we started locally every afternoon from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m., whereas for example until recently, there were national editions. So there are things that happen on the air and the idea is to translate it by this name change so that it is even clearer in the minds of the people who listen to us and those who don't. don't listen to us. This therefore corresponds to the strengthening of proximity.

It is also to modernize the image that France Bleu can have (the Picardy radio is celebrating its 40th anniversary this year). The idea is to stick to the times, particularly digital. It's a name that is more in keeping with this environment which is still the future of our media. It's a name that is shared with the regional programs of France 3, so it also represents local public audiovisual broadcasting to make it clearly visible and also label our programs: there is quality work, certification of the information. This is an important issue today, all the work we do to ensure that there is no fake news circulating here, including at the local level.

Not much. Local program times have already changed at the start of the school year. So we're going to keep the same journalists, the same presenters, we're going to try to be ever more present at the regional level. In the coming weeks, we will also broadcast locally on weekends during the afternoons, so radio will increasingly be made in .

We have been preparing the people who listen to us for this change for years because our morning shows have been called ICI Matin for a long time, the word ICI has been very present on the air for three years, the site is also called ICI . This is not new. We have also received very positive feedback from listeners on our social networks.

For us, this is the biggest communications operation in the history of Radio France's local radio stations. Since today, it has been widely used on signs, buses, TV and radio spots… Normally, it will be difficult to escape it.
