Pleasant and useful walk
On Saturday January 11, 2025, you are invited to an “Urban Walk” through Lombez which will start at the town hall at 10 a.m.
This invitation corresponds to the launch of an urban study for the overall development and development of the town, entrusted to the “ID de ville, urbanism” design office.
The Municipality already produced a reference plan in 2009 which has been used until now, and now wishes to question the population on their vision of the future development of the village.
Leads have already been identified thanks to the “Bourg center” and “Small towns of tomorrow” operations with the support of the CAUE du Gers.
“This new plan will allow the Municipality to obtain a multi-annual programming of its projects, for the coming decade, which will have been placed in a coherent overall vision” confides Mayor Jean Pierre Cot.
A recent example of a beautiful project to be implemented is the purchase of the “Bécanne” park, a former bishopric park, located in the heart of the historic center. This acquisition, voted unanimously by the Municipal Council, is an exceptional opportunity. which will make it possible to considerably change the appearance of the town by improving the living environment of the population who will benefit, right in the center, from 4.5 hectares of green and wooded public space, dedicated to relaxation and leisure.
