The Garmin Venu 2S is a thinner version of the Garmin Venu 2, a connected watch intended for sportsmen and women who seek to measure their performance precisely. It goes from 399 euros at launch to only 199 euros today on Cdiscount.
Basically, Garmin is a brand specializing in the development of GPS and which launched into the field of connected watches a few years ago. It plays in the same league as the Amazfit and Fitbit watches by offering its own OS and advanced functions, with precise GPS and numerous sensors. Currently, its Venus 2S model made for small wrists is on sale at -50%.
The advantages of the Garmin Venu 2S
- For thin wrists with a circumference of 110 to 175 mm
- One week of battery life in standard use
- Top-notch sports monitoring
Instead of 399.99 euros at its launch, the Garmin Venu 2S is now available on promotion for 199 euros on Cdiscount. You can even have it for 189 euros with the code HELLO10if you are a new customer. Note that its lowest price over the last 30 days was 229 euros.
Smaller, yes, but no less powerful
The Garmin Venu 2S is part of the Venu 2 family, the different models of which have been available since April 2021. In terms of functions, it is completely similar to the classic Garmin Venu 2. The differences with the Garmin Venu 2S are more compact dimensions: 110 to 175 mm compared to 135 to 200 mm, with a 40 mm case compared to 45 mm for its big sister.
Obviously, this also impacts the size of the screen which goes from 1.3″/416 x 416 pixels to 1.1″/360 x 360 pixels. The battery is also affected by this reduction in size and loses two days of autonomy, which does not prevent it from still offering a good week of use, which is very comfortable if you do a lot of sport.
Advanced functions for sports activities
The connected watch is equipped with sensors, in contact with your wrist, to measure numerous data on your health, day and night. There is notably GPS, which allows you to follow your route, your routes on a map and optimize your next outings, but also a pulse oximeter (SpO2), monitoring of stress, the menstrual cycle, hydration, breathing, sleep or even the body’s energy level.
They are all diabolically precise and allow you to have an ultra-detailed report when you go to the Garmin application on your smartphone, which is essential. On the other hand, if you are not used to Garmin, you will have to get used to its interface: the brand has developed its own operating system which you have to get to grips with, unlike, for example, WearOS which is much more intuitive.
So, if you’re looking for a good watch with comprehensive sports tracking, training programs, recovery support and accurate GPS AND you have a small wrist: the Garmin Venu 2S is the ideal compromise.
