The famous television competition “The Best Bakery in France” on M6 will settle down in Burgundy Franche-Comté from January 13 to 17. Ten bakeries will compete for a place in the national final.

And the duel of this Tuesday, January 14 promises a confrontation intense between two establishments with very different styles: the Flavigny Bakehousein the picturesque town of Flavigny-sur-Ozerain in Côte-d'Or, and Olivier's Workshoplocated in Chaussin, in the Jura department.

A Côte-d’Or/Jura duel Tuesday January 17

The Côte-d’Or/Jura duel will highlight two distinct approaches artisan bakery. Katherine Hornet from Flavigny oven will defend a know-how anchored in local traditions, with creations inspired by the local products of this town famous for its Anise.

For his part, Olivier and Allan, from Olivier's Workshopwill play the card of l’innovationfocusing on daring recipes and combinations of modern flavors to seduce the jury.

Three tests to decide between them

The two bakeries will compete in three main events:

• The first impression: a flagship product will be tasted and noted in store.
• The favorite product: salty or sweet, each establishment will highlight the speciality which embodies his identity.
• Signature bread: a unique product highlighting the mastery artisanal techniques.
• Finally, a challenge imposed by the jury, mixing regional products and creativitycould well change everything.

An exceptional jury

To decide between the participants, the jury composed of Bruno Cormerais (Best Worker in France), Noëmie Honiat (pastry chef) and Michel Sarran (starred chef) will bring his expertise and kindness.

They will not only evaluate product qualitybut also the ability of artisans to sublimate their know-how and their attachment to their territory.

The Best Bakery in France in Burgundy Franche-Comté, from January 13 to 17 from 6:35 p.m. on M6. The Côte-d’Or – Jura duel will be held on Tuesday January 14.
