Traffic on national road 10 is interrupted for an “indefinite” period in the direction of Paris this Monday, January 6, indicates the Île-de-France roads management on its Sytadin website. At issue: a demonstration by farmers from the Rural Coordination.
Eight tractors arrived around 5 a.m., blocking traffic on the N10 near Perray-en-Yvelines, at the Croix-Saint-Jacques interchange. In total, around twenty farmers from Eure-et-Loir are mobilized on the N10 this Monday morning.
Several convoys in Île-de-France
If the convoy is static for the moment, the farmers of the Rural Coordination have also started to gather at the gates of the capital at other points. Convoys were located elsewhere in Yvelines, as well as in Seine-et-Marne. Farmers blocking the N10 plan to return to their farms for the day, but may take other actions.
As of Sunday, members of the second largest French agricultural union set out from various regions towards Paris to make their anger heard.
Rural coordination wants to obtain guarantees from the Prime Minister for the defense of agriculture focused on the protection of small farmers.
