Four people, including three children, were poisoned with carbon monoxide in Saint-Leu-la-Forêt, in the Val-d'Oise, Sunday January 5, 2025.
The Val-d'Oise firefighters were mobilized at 3:50 a.m.
Four people hospitalized
THE relief took care of a 51-year-old man and three children aged 4, 8 and 16 respectively.
All four of them were urgently transported to the Eaubonne hospital center.
According to initial evidence, the adult would have used a barbecue then left it on to heat the home.
As a reminder, every year, and particularly in winter, carbon monoxide causes many victims.
Odorless, colorless and non-irritating, this gas, responsible for 3,000 poisonings and around a hundred deaths each year in France, is undetectable without a measuring device.
Here are the symptoms of carbon monoxide poisoning: headache, fatigue, nausea, vomiting and dizziness.
