Four people, including three children, were poisoned with carbon monoxide in Saint-Leu-la-Forêt, in the Val-d'Oise, Sunday January 5, 2025.

The Val-d'Oise firefighters were mobilized at 3:50 a.m.

Four people hospitalized

THE relief took care of a 51-year-old man and three children aged 4, 8 and 16 respectively.

All four of them were urgently transported to the hospital center.

According to initial evidence, the adult would have used a barbecue then left it on to heat the home.

As a reminder, every year, and particularly in winter, carbon monoxide causes many victims.

Odorless, colorless and non-irritating, this gas, responsible for 3,000 poisonings and around a hundred deaths each year in , is undetectable without a measuring device.
