Saturday January 4, the mayor of and the prefect of Hérault took legal action for “incitement to hatred”, following the video of an influencer of Algerian origin who called for the murder of demonstrators mobilized on January 1 against the Algerian regime. The prosecution has just entrusted the investigation to the city police station.

«Kill him, let him suffer “, it is in these chilling terms that an influencer of Algerian origin, living in Montpellier, calls out to his compatriots in a video published three days ago on the social network January 1 against the Algerian regime.

Questioned by Internet users about this video, thehe mayor of Montpellier, Michaël Delafosse, took legal action on Saturday January 4, explaining on the same social network:

Incitement to hatred is an offense, as such, there is no doubt about this video, I am making a report under article 40 of the Penal Code to the judicial authority of Montpellier.

The prefect of Hérault followed suit, making the same approach to the courts against this influencer known as “Doualemn”.

Of which act: the The public prosecutor's office announced this Sunday, in a press release to the editorial staff of France 3 , that it had “Immediately referred the Montpellier police station for an investigation into the charge of public and direct provocation and no follow-up to commit a crime.”

Investigations are ongoing, according to Moune Mercan, deputy public prosecutor at the Montpellier judicial court.
