Serial accidents due to freezing rain

Before the mild weather this Sunday morning, freezing rain caused damage in the canton of Fribourg, which recorded no less than 11 accidents last night.

Due to weather conditions described as difficult, three people were injured, around thirty vehicles were involved and two roads were closed to traffic, summarized the Friborg cantonal police this Sunday in a press release.

Accidents took place in the districts of Veveyse, Glâne, Gruyère, Sarine and Singine, list the police.

The police reported, among other things, a series of accidents involving around ten vehicles in Vuisternens-devant-Romont and Epagny. And several accidents involving around ten vehicles in Givisiez, with three people injured, fortunately slightly.
