Skier Cyprien Sarrazin, victim of a serious fall in Bormio in Italy on December 27 and intracranial trauma, is now in a care center in Lyon, for a long rehabilitation period of “several months”.
“He is very, very tired, he really has a hard time communicating again.“, specifies the doctor. Cyprien Sarrazin's season is already over and the rest of his career is on hold, while the 30-year-old must relearn how to “sit, eat properly, stand“.
For the Blues doctor, the skier “is fine“but is far from out of the woods after the harshness of the shock, the coma and the operation to drain the blood from the hematoma in the brain. “TEverything we are going to put in place is for him to come back, I will be there to support him and the integrity of the federal system will be there to support him, for a resumption of skiing, that is our objective“, assures Stéphane Bulle.
The definitive assessment of the lesions has not yet been carried out. Cyprien Sarrazin must then be transferred to another establishment in Lyon, specialized in the care of seriously traumatized people such as road accident victims.
