For the second time, you take on the role of Fred Chaperot, a former war reporter who became a local journalist. What will happen to him?
Florence Pernel : Fred managed to dissuade an ironworker who was threatening to commit suicide. Shortly after, his wife was murdered. Suspicion falls on the depressed husband. Skeptical, she investigates…
Has his surroundings changed?
Fred still lives with his mother Colette (Macha Méril), with his adopted daughter Rosa (Jessyrielle Massengo), taken in in Mali. She is always accompanied by Manu, her whimsical cameraman (Jean-Baptiste Shelmerdine, photo), still looking for an apartment, but who seems to be stuck in her house.
Who are the guests that we will discover in this new opus?
Host Audrey Chauveau plays a Malian lawyer who is looking for Rose's biological mother. We also find Annie Gregorio, Éric Savin, David Mora (Scènes de households, editor's note) in the role of the gendarme, and Malik Zidi whom I was happy to see again. I played his mother in the series The Thibaults (broadcast in 2003, on France 2).
How does this collection stand out from other detective series?
The fact that Fred is a journalist forces him to resort to subterfuge to access elements of the investigation file. Furthermore, with her daughter and her mother, they represent three generations of women. A supportive and caring blended family.
Macha Méril is funny as a liberated grandmother. Would this collection be your first collaboration?
We had filmed in Marie-Galantea television mini-series, produced for Antenne 2 by Jean-Pierre Richard in 1992. I played a kidnapped young woman who finds herself a resident of a brothel, in Buenos Aires, in Argentina, run by Macha Méril… A completely different one atmosphere ! (Laughs) Macha is great. She feeds her character of Colette, a retired actress, with her experiences. She even winks at Jean-Luc Godard, with whom she filmed A married womanin 1964. She is a very beautiful woman. In twenty years, I want to be like her. It's the strongest. She is never cold, never hot, never late, never complains and, what's more, she is incredibly fit and happy.
You were a breathtaking Cécilia Sarkozy in La Conquête (2011). However, cinema ignores you, and TV persists in only offering you detective fiction… For what reason, do you think?
With age, offers become rarer at the cinema. I devote myself to theater. On January 15, the tour with The Eighth Heaven, by Jean-Philippe Daguerre, ends and I have just acquired the rights to Stilla work by the American Lia Romeo, which I will present in Avignon, with Bernard Malaka, directed by Anne Bouvier. On the television side, I have just finished filming the third opus ofParallel investigationwith David Baiot and Lionnel Astier, and a fourth is currently being written. Today, I dream of playing a politician. I'm a fan of the series The castleand Karin Viard amazed me recently with the series In the shadowson France 2. So, advice to the directors!
