Mercilessly, this father, in his forties, took advantage of the body of his own daughter, still a minor, for almost four years. But she ended up revealing the terrible secret to her mother who filed a complaint.
He could not raise his eyes towards the President of the Court, in the criminal chamber at the Casablanca Court of Appeal, who was questioning him about the facts of his crime, namely indecent assault on his own daughter. , aged sixteen. And when she started to talk about what she endured, he kept silent.
“I remember when he touched me for the first time,” she tells the three magistrates and the representative of the public prosecutor.
She was only twelve years old. His mother was traveling to Essaouira to visit her seriously ill mother.
“I was on my bed…I had to sleep to wake up a little early to go to college.” Her father stood in front of the bedroom door and began to stare at her.
“I asked him if he needed to prepare something for him in the kitchen,” she adds.
He replied that he only needed to converse with her. He walked in to sit right next to her on the bed.
“He never reacted like this,” she replied to a question from the President of the Court.
Suddenly he held her in his arms to start kissing her. She tried to push him away. But in vain. In an instant, he became a monster. He threatened to choke her with both hands after slapping her. She seriously wondered if he was really her father. Finally she let him do it. He began to “play” with her little body before touching her private part.
Since then, he abused her every time her mother traveled to Essaouira or visited a relative or friend.
After four years of suffering, she no longer had the strength to continue giving in to him and ended up revealing the secret to her mother who could not believe her ears. She quickly went to file a complaint and her husband was arrested to be held in police custody and subjected to interrogation. Before investigators, he confessed to his crime of incest, arguing that he did not know what he was doing. But in court he simply declared that he deserved to be buried alive. An implicit confession which allowed the Court to find him guilty and sentence him to twenty years of criminal imprisonment.
