Stéphane Plaza's lawyer confirms that the host will be present during his trial

The mystery is solved: Stéphane Plaza will be present at the opening of his trial which will be held on January 9 at the Paris Judicial Court. This was announced by Maître Carlo Alberto Brusa, one of the host's lawyers, to BFMTV.

On August 28, the star television host and real estate agent was not present during the first hearing of his trial at the Paris Judicial Court for reasons of “mental health”. “Although he wanted to be present, we had to prioritize preserving his mental health”explained Maître Hélène Plumet, one of his lawyers, to AFP. A medical certificate was produced stating “massive anxiety, dark thoughts and sleep problems”. The doctor who examined Stéphane Plaza recommended “hospitalization in a protected environment”. The court then adjourned the case to January 9, 2025 and requested a full second opinion.

Stéphane Plaza, popularized by his various broadcasts on M6, is being prosecuted for “habitual physical and/or psychological violence by partner” between August 2018 and April 2022 on one of his former partners, as well as for “habitual psychological violence by partner” on another woman between December 2021 and September 2022. Total incapacity for work (ITT) of more than eight days was established for these two women following this violence. The host rejects the accusations made against him.
