As we announced, snow should indeed return to the Nord and Pas-de-Calais during the weekend of Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 January 2025. A fairly short episode but flakes will be there.
When will it snow this weekend in the Nord and Pas-de-Calais?
According to the first forecasts from Météo France, the snow should arrive during the night. And you will have to quickly put your nose to the window to admire it because a mild spell is predicted from Sunday morning and will make all traces of it disappear.
“Arriving north of the Seine, from Hauts-de-France to the north of Alsace on Saturday afternoon and evening, the rain could turn into light snow and especially freezing rain, which is even more dangerous for the road traffic. This episode would be of short duration (1 to 3 hours), replaced by the general mild spell during the night from Saturday to Sunday,” La Chaîne Météo confirms.
And Guillaume Séchet, founder of Météo-Villes, confirmed to actu.fr: “In the evening, freezing rain is expected from the north of the city of Paris to the Belgian and German borders. Once again, great caution must be exercised because the ground, which has been previously soaked with the disturbances, will freeze.”
As you will have understood, the greatest caution will be required, especially if you have to get behind the wheel.
