Faced with significant losses due to the climatic hazards of 2024, the State has decided to come to the aid of farmers in Gard by granting relief on property taxes on undeveloped properties (TFPNB).
After an investigation carried out by the Departmental Directorate of Territories and the Sea (DDTM), in collaboration with agricultural organizations, loss rates were determined:
- For the vine : loss rates ranging from 25% to 65% in 150 municipalities.
- For fruit trees : losses estimated between 40% and 56% in 47 municipalities.
In total, these measures represent nearly 2.7 million euros in reliefdont 1.8 million euros for viticulturea particularly affected sector. This amount is up compared to 2023, when the aid amounted to 2 million euros.
The farmers concerned do not have to take any action. The Departmental Directorate of Public Finances (DDFIP) issued the reductions automatically. Owners will receive a notice in the coming days specifying the amount of their relief.
- For monthly payments or withdrawals at maturity : reimbursement will be automatic.
- For others : only the difference between the tax due and the relief will have to be paid.
Owners are also invited to pass on these reductions to their farmers, who can find out about the amounts from town halls.
