“The experience of coming to Domaine de Bugatel cannot be explained; it’s lived. » This is how Alina Galatescu, owner of the place with her husband Philippe Dus, sees things. After opening the doors of their establishment in 2022, in Sainte-Livrade-sur-Lot, for the Mother's Day weekend, the two managers and their team were rewarded, in the middle of last year, by the Obtaining two toques from Gault et Millau.
“We got a score of 14/20, it’s one of the best in the region. This is a great reward for our team, it makes them happy and it is also recognition of their involvement. It proves that at Domaine de Bugatel, we work well,” says the manager.
Last year, “we were only online and in the Aquitaine guide, because we were discovered too late” to appear in the national version. But this year, after the confirmation of the renewal of their two hats on December 6, 2024, the Domaine de Bugatel will be listed in the Gault et Millau national guide.
“More visibility”
For Alina Galatescu, it is difficult to quantify what this brings them. One thing is certain, however: “These two hats have brought us even more visibility. » The manager also thinks about her customers and what this means for them. “It’s a guarantee of the quality of what we offer. I actually think that gastronomic guides are something that the French still look at. In any case, being registered there can only be a plus,” she says happily.
Within the Saint-Livradais establishment, “what we want is first and foremost to be people’s favorites. And if at the same time, the guides like us, so much the better. It's only positive. » Especially when we think that just a little over four years ago, the Domaine de Bugatel was engulfed in flames, just a few days before what should have been its launch.
The restaurant is currently closed for holidays until February 12.
