While blood donations tend to decrease during the end-of-year holiday periodthe needs do not weaken. HAS LunelÉtablissement Français du Sang is organizing a new collection on January 16 to meet the demands of hospitals and clinics in the region.
Who can donate? What conditions?
To donate blood, it is obviously important to be healthy, to weigh at least 50kgto be aged between 18 and 70 and of not having been transfused. In addition, it is strongly recommended to come having eaten and drunk beforehand. Note that in certain cases, it is necessary to postpone your blood donation:
- 1 to 7 days after dental treatment.
- 7 days after the end of antibiotic treatment.
- 14 days after an infectious episode.
- 6 months after childbirth or abortion.
- 4 months after a tattoo, a piercing or a stay in a malarious area.
The collection takes place from 2 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Salla Folquet in Lunel.
