Two men were very seriously injured in a paragliding accident this Thursday, January 2 in Savoie. A father and his son crashed to the ground aboard a two-seater paraglider after leaving the Montlambert takeoff area, in the town of Saint-Jean-de-la-Porte.
The two victims fell “several meters”crashing into a “very steep slope”we learned from mountain rescue. Numerous emergency units were mobilized shortly before midday, including the CRS Alpes de l'Alpe-d'Huez (Isère), called to reinforce the CRS de Modane (Savoie).
The father, a 40-year-old man, is suspected of having paraplegia. Her 28-year-old son suffers from abdominal and chest trauma. Both were transported to the unloading department of the Grenoble-Alpes University Hospital in La Tronche.
