In his wishes to the French, Emmanuel Macron admits the failures of the dissolution and opens the way to referendums in 2025.
Emmanuel Macron makes his mea culpa. The President of the Republic recognized, in his New Year's greetings, a dissolution which brought more division to the National Assembly. In his wishes, Emmanuel Macron called for making the year 2025 that of “collective recovery” to allow “stability” and lead to of “good compromises to make the right decisions”.
The eighth wishes of the President of the Republic, the shortest, sparked reactions in the political community. “In 2025, Macron discovers democracy”writes Fabien Roussel on X. Without ever uttering the word, the head of state also mentioned upcoming referendums. “In 2025, we will continue to decide and I will also ask you to decide on some of these determining issues”. A door that has already been opened many times in the past.
