After its elimination on the green carpet in the Coupe de against , Tours FC is summoned for appeal to the FFF this Thursday, January 2, 2025.

The second day of 2025 will be decisive for Tours FC with a summons to the higher appeal committee at the FFF. The Indre-et- club is contesting the decision to lose its match on the green carpet against FC Lorient in the thirty-second final of the French Cup. On December 21, the FFF had in fact canceled this meeting a few hours before kick-off for security reasons. An imbroglio with the security company was the cause of this cancellation.

Tours FC appealed because the club believes it was wronged by SOS Sécurité. What he wants to prove to the FFF. According to documents that we were able to consult, the manager of this company asked Ivan Desmet, the new owner of TFC, to pay a sum which is included in the legal recovery. “Clearly, we are ready to do so but under certain conditions: Transfer of the sum of 17,478.36 euros concerning the match of December 21, 2024; Transfer of the sum of 50,080.15 euros concerning the TFC debt from 2019 to December 2022 » can we read in an email dated December 18.

Threats between security companies?

“Don’t worry at all on the legal level, I will send the agent a termination and waiver of debt” also wrote the manager of SOS Sécurité. In a press release sent to La Nouvelle République, the company explains that it “was forced to request a deposit of 90% of the invoice given the club's history of unpaid debts”. Tours FC claims to have made three transfers on December 20 for a total sum of 18,000 euros. What SOS Sécurité denies when it speaks of a “deposit of 7,000 euros including tax, the only sum paid to date by the club”.

But the TFC also relies on testimonies to prove pressure between security companies. Another company contacted by the club also assured that it could provide the service for the December 21 match against Lorient. Finally, the club filed a complaint against SOS Sécurité for “breach of trust”. With all these elements, Tours FC hopes that its appeal will be heard by the FFF. If this is not the case, the CNOSF will probably be contacted for conciliation.
