1) The Boucherie restaurant is the target of a very embarrassing scam

This is the story that caught your attention the most this year, the scam of which the restaurant La Boucherie and its customers were victims. Flashback: last November 8, The South-Gironde Republican revealed to the general public the misadventures of the Langon establishment caused indirectly by Google.

Namely, a miscreant who had changed the restaurant's phone number on its Google listing page. Thus, those who contacted the restaurant ultimately found themselves dialing a premium rate number. The scam lasted two long months…

“A customer told us that they had an additional cost of 9 euros; another of 5 euros, despaired Aurélie Lacampagne, the director. And this is happening more and more often. At the beginning, we only had a few comments. From now on, there is not a day when we are not told about it. »

Finally, a few days after the publication of our article, the scam finally came to an end with the restoration of the correct number on the famous search engine. More fear than harm.
