The year 2024 which is coming to an end marked an important development for Objectif Gard with the opening of a fourth territorial agency in Saint-Gilles staffed by several journalists. And the extension of editorial treatment of news beyond the borders of Gard and the arrival of daily information on the city of Arles. This new year which is opening for your newspaper will mark the extension of this strategy of territorial evolution, always on the Arles side. We will have the opportunity to talk about it again…
This new dynamic has been rewarded. With a significant increase in our certified audience compared to the year 2023. Nearly 25 million articles read over one year, i.e. growth of more than 5% in one year. But above all, the number of articles read on each visit to Objectif Gard & Arles increases by more than 7% for the year 2024 compared to 2023! Which shows once again, in a context of proliferation of catch-all websites and without journalistic ambition, the imperative need to rely on professional editorial staff to tell, at every moment, the story in progress.
It is in this philosophy that we will continue our common story with you, dear reader. A popular newspaper close to its readers and the people who make Gard and Arles. To do this, we will expand our digital offering. Our magazine at newsagents every other Tuesday will of course be back throughout 2025. And our video offerings, combining reporting and TV broadcasts, will give pride of place to the weight of the image to explain the issues facing our territories .
