“2025 will be a decisive year in which the political transition will undoubtedly be decided which alone can reverse the course of events and put France and even Europe back in the race of History”, affirmed the president of the RN deputies in a video broadcast on social networks.
“It is from the people and therefore through a democratic decision that there will come a happy outcome to a situation that everyone deplores and from which France must emerge as quickly as possible,” said Ms. Le Pen, who said in mid-December that she was preparing to an early presidential election.
Considering that the Head of State, Emmanuel Macron, is “definitely discredited”, she deplored the “institutional spin” of the dissolution of the National Assembly and denounced the “unworthy second round schemes (elections) legislative which) have distorted the natural electoral logic and mechanically led the country to parliamentary and governmental paralysis.” Castigating the political forces whose only program is “to stay in power” and who “are leading us to disaster”, she said she was convinced “that we can reverse these disastrous dynamics”.
Censure. Ms. Le Pen, whose deputies voted to censure Michel Barnier's government with the votes of the left, presented the alliance between her party and the UDR of Eric Ciotti, the former boss of LR who joined the RN in the legislative elections, as a “force of alternation for France and for Europe (which) aims to expand further to bring together all French patriots, from the right, from the left and elsewhere”.
“It is from this great gathering of the French people, which is our project, that a new elite of leaders will emerge who will be able to renew the political, economic, social and even psychological recovery of the homeland,” she added. The president of the RN, Jordan Bardella, also released a video.
“In 2025, the RN will be stronger than ever,” he promised, also denouncing the “maneuvers of the parties who cling to power”. “In these times which seem like the end of a reign (…), nothing can stop a people who have started to hope again,” he assured, promising that the RN “will bring the spirit of the Fifth Republic in the face of those who would like to see us plunge back into the Fourth.”
