The Confédération paysanne des Deux-Sèvres recently presented its list of candidates for the 2025 professional agricultural elections next January. A list that wants to be “equal between men and women, representing our different territories and our productions,” specifies the agricultural union.
This denier evokes the “urgency to be able to make a better living from our profession: our work has a price and it must allow us to live with dignity whatever our productions. On land, we say stop the artificialization of land! Priority must be given to food production. The State must guarantee us an income as it is capable of doing for energy. Our job is to nourish, rather than produce energy. Facilitating access to the means of production and in particular to land means supporting successful transfers. Transmitting will be easier when you have earned a living”
The Deux-Sèvres Peasant Confederation also defends the peasant agriculture project. “We must help farmers change their practices to adapt to climate change. »
