The week starts with overcast skies. “Low clouds will still largely dominate this Monday over the Vendée with a sky that is mostly completely overcast and, perhaps, a small hope of some clearing near the coast,” indicates Climat Vendée, on its Facebook page.
A “calm” New Year’s Eve
On the other hand, the sun could come out on Tuesday January 31. And good news, the weather conditions will be good for New Year's Eve!
The New Year's Eve evening will be calm: no rain or fog is expected to disrupt traffic conditions.
On Wednesday, the weather will change to “ the approach of a disturbance with a southwest wind which gradually strengthens, chasing away low clouds and causing temperatures to rise,” continue the forecasters.
On Thursday, the disturbance will bring rain during the night and the morning and will be accompanied by strong southwest wind gusts up to 60 or 70 km/h. A rather gloomy start to the year therefore.
However, the weather should be calmer. Friday January 3 with bright skies and the return of a few frosts in the morning. Temperatures will however be quite fresh.
The trend is then very uncertain for next weekend:
France could find itself at the heart of a major air mass conflict between very cold air over northern Europe and milder air further south. An active disturbance could affect Vendée on Saturday, before the return of drier and colder weather on Sunday. This trend largely requires confirmation.
