A brawl of terrible violence occurred on Saturday evening in an apartment on rue du Noyer-Bondon, in Drancy (Seine-Saint-Denis). It was a little after 11 p.m. when a man of Mongolian nationality was arrested by the police. He is suspected of having stabbed two of his compatriots, for a reason which remains unknown at this stage of the investigation. According to a police source, a classic knife and a kitchen utensil, namely a bloody butcher's sheet, were found inside this accommodation.
One of the two victims, injured in the head and throat, was transported by emergency services to the Pitié-Salpêtrière hospital in the 13th arrondissement of Paris, under motorized escort, in “absolute emergency” and with a life threatening, according to the firefighters' intervention report. The second victim, more lightly injured (on the right wrist), was transported to the Avicenne hospital center in Bobigny in a relative emergency. His life was not in danger during his transfer.
The police arrested the suspect while he was in a vehicle parked a few dozen meters from the apartment. The suspect, whose age has not been disclosed, was placed in police custody for “attempted voluntary homicide”, according to the Bobigny public prosecutor's office. The investigation into the circumstances of this brawl was entrusted to the Drancy police station.
