Although we may note the right-wing nature of his career and the political mistakes committed, the degree of hatred aroused by the new Minister of Overseas Territories leaves one wondering. Let's try to understand.
There is something incomprehensible in the hatred to which Manuel Valls is subjected. Something that, strictly speaking, is beyond comprehension. Because, if we look at his record and his political career, what justifies such visceral hatred?
I'm looking. Is it having, as Minister of the Interior, fought Dieudonné by banning the shows of this comedian converted into an anti-Semitic agitator who brought the negationist Faurisson on stage? This should earn him our recognition, just like having dissolved the Œuvre française or his firmness in the face of demonstrations opposed to homosexual marriage in 2013.
Is it because he knew how to find the right words in the Assembly after the shock of the attacks of January 2015? How can we forget, in fact, the speech of January 13, delivered by a feverish Valls, visibly exhausted after having gone through funerals, and greeted by several standing ovations from the national representation?
