Thibault Mascia, the founder of Météo Côte-d’Or, shared the weather forecast for the next few daysin Dijon and Côte-d’Or including weekends and Christmas Day.
Despite calm periods alternating with agitated phenomenathe chances of having a snowy Christmas seem to be ruled out.
Unsettled weather before Christmas
According to our expert, this weekend will be characterized by dry moments followed by showerscaused by several successive polar flows. The premiere is scheduled for this Thursday, accompanied by a cold front.
“The cold front will arrive around the middle of the day Thursday with a risk gusts of wind reaching 80 to 90 km/h. Showers and showers will follow in the afternoon, and the night from Thursday to Friday could even bring rain mixed with snow en altitude », explains Thibault Mascia.
A mild but rainy weekend
For the weekend, temperatures will rise up to 10 degrees. However, this mildness will be accompanied by wet and windy conditions.
“We plan wind and raintypical conditions for this period,” specifies the expert.
New cold snap at the start of the week
From Monday, a new cold wave is expected to hit the region, causing a further drop in temperatures. However, snowfall remains unlikely.
“We should rather see showers, sleetand temperatures around 5 degrees during the day,” indicates Thibault Mascia.
No snow for Christmas
As Christmas approaches, an anticyclone will strengthen over the Côte-d’Or and throughout France, stabilizing weather conditions.
“We will have a time very calm and drybut unfortunately no snow for Christmas,” announces Thibault, adding: “Once again, no white Christmas this year, but a cold winter accompanied by fog in the Saône plain. »
Last Snowy Christmas: 2010
“The last time the Côte-d’Or experienced a snowy Christmas dates back to December 2010,” confides the weather expert. Since then, the region has not had any snow during this period, a phenomenon which also seems to be confirmed for 2024…
