Since 2018, the Carcassonne International Political Film Festival has explored cinematographic works that question major societal issues. Through screenings, debates and meetings, it invites spectators to reflect on subjects that affect our lives and our citizenship.
Among the highlights, the screening of Costa-Gavras' latest film, “Le Dernier Souffle”, will take place on Saturday January 18 at the Le Dôme Convention Center, at 4:30 p.m.. Inspired by the book “Supporting the end of life” by Claude Grange and Régis Debray, the film addresses universal questions around the end of life through the story of two men confronted with these issues, one in his role as a doctor, the other in his personal life. The screening will be followed by a meeting with the director, a privileged moment of discussion around the creation of the film and the themes it explores. An opportunity to reflect and dialogue
Each year, the International Political Film Festival transforms Carcassonne into a space for dialogue where cinema and citizen reflection meet.
Thursday, December 19, the festival announced three of the members of the jury for the Fiction competition. This year, it will include director Mounia Meddour (““Papicha”), actress Alice Isaaz (“The Cream of the Cream”) and the actor Pierre Deladonchamps (“The Stranger of the Lake”). The final two members will be revealed in the coming days!
