FC Nantes is preparing to face the JA Drancy this Saturday, in a match counting for the 32nd finals of the Coupe de France. This match could mark Antoine Kombouaré's last appearance as coach of the team.
Before the meeting, Kombouaré detailed the players available and those absent, highlighting the notable absence of Moses Simonthe Nigerian striker. Simon, currently the club's top scorer with four goals, will not be on the field due to health problems.
Antoine Kombouaré clarified that the Nigerian recently underwent surgery to remove plates and screws from his ankle, which will keep him away from the field for around two weeks. This absence is a hard blow for the Nantes team.
The defender Fabien Centonze, who played against Paris, will also be out due to a knee injury. Kombouaré indicated that he felt pain throughout the week, which compromised his participation in the match against Drancy.
Other absences should also be noted. Adel Mahamoudwhose injury was not specified, and Tino Kadewereinjured in the quadriceps, will be missing. Kombouaré clarified that Little boy will not play again this season, saying he is “done with 2024.”
On the other hand, a positive note lies in the return of Mostafa Mohamed. The Egyptian striker, who was injured against Brest, is back in training with the group. His availability in attack could compensate for the absence of Simon and Kadewere.
This return is enthusiastically welcomed by Kombouaré, who hopes that the Egyptian can make a significant contribution to the team in the crucial match against JA Drancy.
