“Local missions in danger – local missions mobilized”. This is one of the slogans that we could read this Tuesday on the signs brandished by employees of the Missions Locales de la Sarthe. 130 people shouted their anger and concern at the announced drop in subsidies from the Pays de Loire regional council. This represents a loss of 500,000 euros for the three branches of the department which help young people failing at school to find training. A surprising and worrying decision according to representatives of local Missions because the president of the regional council, Christelle Morançais, has made youth employment and training a priority.
