A robbery that allegedly went wrong cost the life of a 32-year-old Bragarde woman on Thursday, November 28, in Saint-Anselme, a village located southeast of Quebec, in Canada.
The facts are still a little unclear. Thursday, November 28, around 8 p.m., a man entered the O Mini Prix store, specializing in the sale of professional clothing, established for around thirty years in the center of Saint-Anselme, a town of 4,000 inhabitants, in about fifty kilometers southeast of Quebec City. According to the Sûreté du Québec, the local police, cited by The Quebec Journalhe allegedly opened fire several times on the two employees.
If the first, aged 25, was seriously injured and transported to the nearest hospital, the second died on the spot. Several hypotheses are being studied by Quebec investigators, but that of an attempted theft that went wrong seems favored. The suspect, who fled on foot, is still actively sought by local law enforcement.
From Saint-Dizier to Quebec
Aged 32, the victim is Justine Hertemann. Originally from Saint-Dizier, the young woman had worked for a time in a restaurant in Chêne Saint-Amand, before going into exile in Canada with her sister, Tiffany. The latter opened an online fundraiser to finance the repatriation of her sister's body to Haute-Marne, where her funeral will be celebrated.
