An extraordinary challenge won by a Valdoisienne.
Chloé Leneveu, 38 years old, doctor by profession and resident of Enghien-les-Bains (Val-d'Oise), finished in first place in the Trek’in gazelles with his team.
In the arid desert of Moroccothe three women had to face many obstacles to achieve victory.
Single route
Chloé Leneveu was part of theteam 111with Alice Warren and Marjolaine Perrot.
We've been friends since college. We remained close despite our geographical distance. After becoming doctors and then mothers, we needed to take on new challenges.
Last year, the three women ran a half marathon.
“The Trek'in gazelles corresponds to our values ecological and united,” specifies the woman who has lived in Enghien for five years now.
“We discovered other women. We supported each other throughout the course and we laughed a lot. It was a beautiful human experience. »
Little brother
The Trek'in gazelles is the “little brother” of the famous Aïcha des gazelles rally.
The only difference is that it is a running race, organized by the Maïenga sports events company.
And square desert Moroccan, 420 gazelles, from 16 to 70 years old, or 140 teams, took the start of the courseon November 10.
The Trek'in gazelles is a sporting event on foot focused on orientation, surpassing oneself and mutual assistance. Without a vehicle, they must trace their route using only a map and a compass to connect one beacon to another while covering as few kilometers as possible in an ocean of sand.
The challenge lasted six days and four stages.
Every day, the goal was to rally several tags over a distance of approximately 20 km.
At first, I was stressed. I thought it would be very difficult physically, for example because we were sleeping in tents.
But over time, the doctor felt “carried away by the race, even though we walked almost 12 hours a day”.
Crew 111 caught all the tags blacks on their course, which earned them the number of points necessary to win.
Next challenges for this champion:
The Paris half marathon in March 2025 and the next Trek'in gazelles thereafter.
“The organization offer registration for next year with our victory. We're going to hand in our titre at stake,” smiles Chloé Leneveu.
